Ravi Aurora is senior vice president and group head, Global Community Relations at MasterCard. In this role, he is responsible for advocacy and ensuring alignment with MasterCard’s regulatory, reputational and business priorities. He leads a series of diverse initiatives providing thought leadership and capacity building to key stakeholders (consumers, issuers, acquirers, merchants, governments) on the benefits of electronic payments, emerging technology, fraud trends and risk mitigation. Ravi also leads the Master Your Card community empowerment program.
Ravi is the global strategic advisor for EAST (Exploring Asian Societies and Trends), an employee-led Business Resource Group at MasterCard focused on creating a more inclusive culture and effectively driving business growth, financial performance and success in the global marketplace. Ravi is the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business, awarded by the Asian American Business Development Center.
Ravi joined MasterCard in 1997, having previously worked for Kraft Foods, Inc., where his responsibilities included market share analysis, brand & pricing strategies, business management, and competitive assessments.
Ravi holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Louisiana State University in the United States and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India.
