Biography

Xiaotang​ was​ born and raised in China. She came to​ the​ United States for her master’s degree in Public and Nonprofit Management at the University of Pittsburgh, after graduating from Xi’an International Studies University​ and participating in an exchange program with​ ​Northern Arizona University, in her pursuit of a Journalism​ degree.

Currently, she is the Director of Membership and Programs at One To World​ (OTW). She oversees a​ four-person team that designs, ​markets, and implements​ more than​ 140 annual cultural events for international students and Fulbright grantees at New York universities. She also manages relationships with OTW’s collective membership, consisting of more than 70 colleges, universities and other organizations. Also, Xiaotang developed and managed marketing strategies for member services and enrichment programs, and she assisted with program-related foundations as well as corporate grant proposals and reports. 
 
From 2012 to 2017, she worked for the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC), a nonprofit organization promoting greater recognition of Asian American business contributions to the general economy. Xiaotang was responsible for engaging corporate partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and major donors. She also directed various programs including the annual Outstanding 50 gala, business roundtable, mentorship programs, and other workshops.
