Urvi Doshi Sood is Vice President of Tax Administration for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing all federal, state, and international income tax reporting and compliance for the Corporation; IRS income tax audits; tax consolidation and financial reporting; and tax accounting policy and controls. Her team includes 30 others who assist on these matters.
Most recently, Ms. Sood was Vice President, Tax Planning & Senior Tax Counsel. She led the tax teams responsible for the 2015 acquisition of Sikorsky for $9 billion and the 2016 Reverse Morris Trust transaction with Leidos for $5 billion. Ms. Sood was also responsible for closely coordinating with Washington Operations Government & Regulatory Affairs on tax legislative and regulatory matters. Ms. Sood joined Lockheed Martin in 2006 as a senior tax attorney and previously held various other positions of increasing responsibility within the Lockheed Martin Tax Department.
Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Ms. Sood served as a tax associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in Washington, DC and New York, New York. She focused on the tax aspects of private equity fund formation and investments, domestic and international acquisitions, and public offerings of debt and equity.
Prior to law school, Ms. Sood worked as a financial analyst at the investment banking firm of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now Credit Suisse) in New York, New York.
In addition to earning her J.D. from New York University’s School of Law, Ms. Sood graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the Honors College at the University of Michigan with dual B.A. degrees in Economics and Political Science.
Ms. Sood is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Financial Executives International, and Tax Executives International. She also serves on the Tax Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Sood is co-chair of Lockheed Martin’s Professional Asian American Network, a group dedicated to enhancing and accelerating development of Lockheed Martin’s Asian American employees. She is the executive sponsor for the Lockheed Martin Professional Asian American Network chapter at Enterprise Operations. In 2015, she was the co-chair of the Lockheed Martin Council for Asian American Leaders National Forum.
